  • "Indirect immunofluorescence assay with the same antibodies indicated that during gametocytogenesis falcipain 3 is transported out of the gametocyte into the RBC (Fig. 1C and 2). In mature stage V gametocytes, falcipain 3 was found to accumulate in vesicles along the RBC membrane."
